Australian? 500 Days at Sydney Film Festival!

Sydney Film Festival in Australia has just announced its lineup, which includes 500 Days of Summer playing twice. The festival runs from June 3 to 14, 2009. If you’re in Australia and were unsure of when you would get to see the film, now’s your chance! As of this year you can now purchase tickets online for the festival.

Interestingly, 500 Days of Summer has a rating of 18+ in Australia (or at least for this festival.)

  2. I live in Sydney and am super excited about this screening!

    As for the 18+ certificate, that’s just the Festival’s ruling as the film hasn’t yet been rated by the Office of Film and Literature Classification. I’m sure it’s not a reflection on the film itself.

  3. It actually has been rated by the OFLC, which I was annoyed about because if it was 18+, I wouldn’t be able to attend. So I emailed them about it and now the site says M, so yay.
