Roundtable discussion with 500 Days of Summer’s Gordon-Levitt, Deschanel and director Marc Webb

Sure, there’s an over arching whimsical tone to the movie, and yeah, there’s even a choreographed dance scene, but when you’re in love, or think you are, everything seems that way. The Daily Texan sat down with Gordon-Levitt, Deschanel and director Marc Webb for a roundtable discussion about the film.
DT: Music plays a huge role in the film. The two characters first meet over a Smiths song, and every scene is carefully planned, music-wise. Tell me about that.
Marc Webb: If you just look at how big music plays a part in your life, it’s a no-brainer that it should play a huge role in the film.
