Guest: Interesting, Funny, Bittersweet.
I went last Wed the 15th, to the free screening in downtown Saint Petersburg. I got to the theater about 20 minuets before the showing stared. I went to get the tickets waiting for my friend who was parking the car. To my surprise it was not as busy as i thought, with Harry Potter people. I went to go sit down to wait and was told they would be shutting the doors at 7;30, luckily she came in a couple minuets before. It was very full to my surprise. i knew some people Knew about the movie, but the theater was almost completely full. We took our seats, many people around were chatting about the movie, it was a great environment.
From the very beginning of the movie you have a laugh, which is great, the whole theater bust into laughing. As the movie gets more in you learn about Tom (Levitt) a want to be architect, who as of know works at a card slogan company. Tom is almost Immediately taken by this beautiful new Intern his boss had hired Summer (Deschanel). The first scene where you get real wind of the head over heal love he has for her in in the elevator. (Deschanel) has an amazing singing voice as she sings the smiths. As with any bad relationship the bad memories and good always come out of order. They have good moments like the scene at Ikea. Ironically, I was at Ikea that mourning, go figure. Bad moments as well, as when Summer says she would just like to be friends. I do not want to give to much away, but this movie is brilliant. It shows how a real relationship is not just all good but has bad times as well.
This movie will have you laughing the whole way threw, yet will have you kind of sad at the end of how this sweet relationship is to end. Also the movie boast a killer soundtrack, which i was very excited to get. Regina Spektor is one of my favorite artist so having her on the soundtrack as well as The Smiths made it phenomenal. Zooey Deschanel, is one of my favorite actresses, I am so Glad that Joseph Gordon-Levitt had picked her to play this role. No one could have done this better. I cannot wait for another week or so till it comes back out around her so i can take all of my friends to see this movie again. To sum this up, it is not a chick flick, you can take your boyfriends to see this girls. The will get a kick out of the humor and hearty break.
This movie in 3 words is:
Intelligent, Funny & Bittersweet.
I Recommend it is as must see.
