“Webcam”-based 500 Days of Summer interview
As we get closer to July 17th you’re going to start seeing a slight increase in advertising for 500 Days of Summer. For those of you who follow this blog, you know that means more juicy scoops and solid content.
Speaking of solid content, The Film Stage has posted a lengthy webcam-based interview with Zooey Deschanel and Joe Gordon-Levitt. Unfortunately it’s only a transcript (no video!) but the interview is worth the read. Many topics that are normally only touched on get lengthy responses from the stars.
ZOOEY DESCHANEL: …[Marc Webb] was so great at working with actors and just such a lovely genuine person that he just seemed like an actors’ director. As soon as I was on set, I forgot about everything else, and then seeing the film, I was reminded that his background is in music videos, which is mainly a visual medium, so I was reminded by being completely blown away. That’s my piece.
Yeah, Marc Webb is awesome. I can’t wait to see this movie.

Update: KSU Owl Radio also participated in the interview and actually has an audio recording. Definitely worth listening as you read along! (Thanks for the tip, Zooey Fan!)
April 22nd, 2009“i can’t wait for 500 days of summer”

This is a frequent phrase I see on a lot of blogs that mention 500 Days of Summer. I thought it would be interesting to Google “I can’t wait for 500 Days of Summer” and check out some of the results. Right now there are about 375 results for that query. I wonder how it will change as we approach July 17th.
This site will shortly appear for that search. It wouldn’t surprise me if a few visitors here have blogs that already appear in those results! Anyone want to place bets on the number of results on, say, July 1st?
