Catchy tune set to 500 Days video
Ananiah sent me this video montage of 500 Days of Summer.
Here’s a song that me and a friend of mine did in the event that Summer and Tom ever called one another years later. It’s a really great song and video. Please post it if you can.
The song is really great, lyrically and musically, just wish the video quality was better. Check it out below!
August 5th, 2009Must Watch: 500 Days of Summer “Bank Heist” Music Video
Quite honestly the best video ever– the best, best, best, best, BEST. What a team. Hard to describe Zooey Deschanel as anything but incredible but to choose between her and Joe Gordon-Levitt? Impossible. Marc Webb makes me want to direct and a very catchy tune by She & Him. Makes me a very happy guy.

You must watch this video: after the jump.

USAToday.com premiered the video today along with a short article about the video. Included is this great tidbit:
They’re not a real couple, but they’re good at faking it.

500 Days of Summer (Music from the Motion Picture) climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack chart and No. 6 on the iTunes album overall chart thanks to its quirky mix of “just-under-the-radar” bands like the Temper Trap and the Doves, alongside nostalgic powerhouses like the Smiths and Simon & Garfunkel, as Billboard magazine described it. Other critics have weighed in with the New York Observer calling it “an infectious nostalgia-baiting soundtrack with the Smiths, Belle and Sebastian, and Regina Spektor, Elle calling it “irresistible,” and People dubbing it their soundtrack of the week.
July 17th, 2009500 Days of Summer Music
Wish there were more songs included in this 500 Days of Summer music collage but only using Regina Spektor and Wolfmother actually creates a very cool video.

It feels so good to finally have the 500 Days of Summer soundtrack in my iTunes library. I’m giving it my first listen through now. Of course I really can’t wait to throw in the CD and go for a drive on a nice Summer day or night with the windows down.

Amazon offers fast shipping for the album on CD and it comes with a beautifully designed booklet and cover art. It’s definitely an item for every fan and something I’ll definitely cherish. I posted a photo of the CD and booklet after the jump.
June 26th, 2009Zooey Deschanel and She & Him Cover The Smiths
Earlier this month the 500 Days of Summer soundtrack track listing was announced and it included a cover of The Smiths’ “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want”. The band performing the cover? None other than She & Him, consisting of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward. Thanks to Stereogum for exclusively featuring the track!
