500 Days of Summer To Be Released One Week Earlier
If you knew you just couldn’t wait until July 24th for 500 Days of Summer, this news will surely brighten your day! Word has come out that the release date has been moved to Friday, July 17th, one week earlier.
Director Marc Webb’s wonderful romantic comedy that became a Sundance sensation this year was initially scheduled for release on July 24th, but Fox Searchlight has moved up its release by one week. Don’t worry too much, it’ll probably open limited on the 17th and expand further throughout late July and early August. – Read more at FirstShowing.net
Is this good news or what?

This is awesome! I live in NY so even if it’s limited release I’ll be able to see it!

Will it get an international release?
Em on Feb 20, 2009
Its not like children who go see Harry Potter will go to see this anyway. I’m glad about its earlier release and sure it will do just fine. If I lived close to NY instead of 3 hours away I would go see it instead of HP on the 17th.
