500 Days screening and discussion with Marc Webb at Florida State
A few lucky fans got a sneak peak at Saturday’s Seven Days of Opening Night’s showing of 500 Days of Summer. They were also treated to a short discussion with Marc Webb.
“I haven’t decided how to introduce it (this film) yet,” director Marc Webb said before the screening. “You will have to decide. It’s about what happens when the life you expect collides with the life you encounter.”
Webb, a former video-music director, packed the film with a lively soundtrack featuring music by everyone from Patrick Swayze to The Smiths to a new Australian band called The Temper Trap. Get ready for it.
“I don’t even think The Temper Trap has a record deal in this country,” Webb said before the screening. “But that was the song we knew we had to use.”
